The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is a public community college located in Clark County, Nevada , United States. It is the largest public institution of higher education in Nevada, serving over 30,000 students annually. History

CSN was founded in 1971 as Clark County Community College. In 1991, it was renamed the Community College of Southern Nevada to reflect its expanding role in the region. On March 16, 2007, the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education voted to change the institution’s name to the College of Southern Nevada, effective July 1, 2007. This change was made to better represent the college’s comprehensive academic offerings and its status as a major educational institution in the state.
